Hello all, I'm 22 and based in the Scottish Borders, just bought this new Astra Ultimate 1.2 Turbo petrol.
Got it from a dealer down at Morpeth last week, shes Feb 24 registered, someone's end of contract car that was never used so had 26 miles as of collection and had 9 grand knocked of list!
Never thought I'd be the owner of a new car, but this deal came up and I had to have it. Already been underneath it to coat it with Waxoyl to keep her nice for many years to come and looks fairly easy serviced once the warranty runs out.
She's a quantum leap from the 16.5 year old Ibiza 6L it replaces! Drives lovely and has all the tech, although slightly regretting the sunroof as it has an ever so slight rattle going over rougher road surfaces as I presume it moves a little on the seals. Not the end of the world though, very nice car overall.
Never thought I'd be a Vauxhall driver either, but they have pulled up their socks big time with this new model. Hopefully they can begin to claw back market share as you very rarely see new models about, certainly round these parts.
Evening, new member, new Astra Ultimate
I would imagine your car is a "spare" Mobility car. I have just bought an Ultimate like yours, (but Tourer) and 3 miles/5 months old, and that was ex Mobility too. My daughter has bought two Astra estates over the years but at the usual Mobility 3yr mark.
How are you finding your way around it? Have you walked away and inadvertently locked a passenger in the car yet? If found a couple of oddities. Can't seem to activate the "Close Obstacle Detection" (perhaps the 360 cam kills that), found the radio/data clumsy and the App doesn't really want to play ball.
