Heads Up Navigation Display

I have just purchased the Astra L Ultimate

When using navigation on Apple Car Play, the directions are also displayed on the heads up display. This would be a great feature except that these directions are completely different to those on the Apple Car Play screen and appear to be completely random, having nothing to do with the chosen route at all except when arriving at the destination when the chequered flag is displayed.

Does anyone know if this is a common fault or how to rectify it?

As far as i know
The heads up navigation screen is for the built in Tom Tom navigation system and does not represent the Apple one

Thanks for your reply. Yes, that is right but the fact remains that if I turn on Apple Car Play navigation, this causes the heads up display to show random directions.

Mine usually displays the correct instructions but the pictures leave a lot to be desired. 1st exit on a roundabout and it displays the right turn roundabout graphic and 5th exit, it displays the left one!

Usually accurate on left and right turns etc. It never shows the map though. Also it never works on other apps such as Google, Waze or even the Tom Tom App on the phone.

Yes, now that I've had the car a few months that is my experience with Apple Maps too. The heads-up display shows right/left turns correctly but always the wrong exit at roundabouts. I suppose we are stuck with this unless someone can draw it to Vauxhall's attention.
