Creaky gear stick

Anyone else had creaky gears at all mines doing it intermittent seems more on colder days I’ve tried pulling out the leather gear cover and spraying a bit of wd40 specialist silicon, but it does nothing it’s almost like it’s underneath the stick which can’t get to as it’s bolted down with four star bolts
